Mission Statement
“This is why a man must leave his father and mother, and cling to his wife, and the two become one. They are no longer two, therefore, but one body. So then, what God has united, man must not divide.” (Matthew 19:5-6)
“A wedding is a day … a marriage is a lifetime.” Lifelong marriage requires preparation and sustenance. Because marriage is both vocation and sacrament, preparation involves a process of faith development and a new understanding of God’s vision for marriage and family life. The relationship between husband and wife is of primary importance; thus, skills training in such areas as communication and conflict resolution is also a key component of this process. The year-long preparation period for marriage is designed to integrate sacramental preparation with relationship and life-skills training. The aim of the preparation is to provide newly-married couples with the tools they need to meet the daily challenges of holy family life. In addition, becoming an active part of their parish, receiving the support of their faith community, and being open to God’s graces will sustain couples in their lifelong marriage journey.

Pro-Life Ministry
Alive… in Christ Jesus… This group was formed in response to the need to be the voice of the unborn, the elderly, and the marginalized in our society. We have a phone chain so that we may mobilize quickly and call our state and federal government officials when a relevant piece of legislation is to be voted upon. We advise them on how their constituents want them to vote. We meet as needed and communication through email or telephone. Our activities include The Life Chain, a Diocesan poster/essay contest, and support of Life Choices, Inc.
